I do believe that they usually do depict things currently going on in our lives. When we see the future; it is of the fact that it’s the blessing of a pure entity passing by throwing us a hint.
But on a more normal / scientific fact of it, we are only electro-chemically generating this complete world in our head! The interesting thing is that we infuse the general laws of the world into that very creation. So there is heat, cold, pain, sorrow, fear, gravity, wind…its spectacularly real!
I use to have a dream when I was 13 years old. It was of me standing at the cliff of a mountain and looking down at a misty abyss beneath me. The cliff always uses to give way and I use to fall into the void and wake up sweating. This went on for a few months, till I decided to take control of it. This was my one of the “factors” that was controlling my dream, and in this case, was the fear of height.
So what did I do? I started climbing heights and hanging around [yes I do make a good primate]. The next time I had that dream, the cliff did give way again!, but this time I was not falling like a rock, I was gliding into a green – cartoon-like- forest heaven- I was in control.
So I concluded that my dream was just an aspect in the real world controlling my dream, I fixed that and my intelligence overpowered the dream itself.
At 25, I enjoy my dreams because now I am in complete control of them. Something like the Matrix, if you have seen it, will be easier to visualize. I can do anything in it, fly, ride, change the very structure of things with my mind [because I am fully aware that this is a dream and these are all my creations].
Sometimes when I get something like nightmares, I become aware in between that it’s a dream and take control of it.
Half our lives are spent sleeping, then why not be a Super hero there if we can’t have superpowers here? Hehe [ indication to fellow blogger “Vivacious”’s last post “if you could be a super hero”
But mind you, even in dreams , you need a heart of a lion.

It's fascinating how you could control your own dreams. Hhmmm...maybe you do have superpowers in real life after all:P. But what's the harm in imagining right? And this dream controlling thing...I'll give it a shot:)
Lots of love
Wow! Controling our dreams! Never thought of it! I should try it ;)
Interesting post! :)
Vivacious~
You live another life in your dreams, and this life is in yours to control, why not have fun? :)
Bella Color~
You are about to Free Your Mind :), rather free yourself from your mind in the plains of unknown voids of your abilities.
It only took you a month of Sundays to post again. That must have been one long dream!
Interesting concepts, though. I guess I perceive the mechanics of dreams and how they originate, in a different way. And perhaps I sleep too well because I very rarely ever remember my dreams. I think I remember less then 10 in a year and the ones I do remember usually involve being inside houses and buildings with numerous rooms and lots of unknown people inside.
I haven't had nightmares since childhood, and those only involved Ferris wheels or large holes appearing before me in the street while riding a bike. I take that back, about a month ago I did recall a dream of moving a dead body that was in my house for some unknown reason. I can't really call it a nightmare because it wasn't frightening and in the end, I moved him (the body) into an old shed that turned out to have a secret door in the floor... that lead to a very large, brightly lit room with gleeming hardwood floors, full of people having a party, dancing and talking.
Hahaha. Strange.

no3ik, hon, stop whining about superman :-\
The guy's taken and you don't want to steal a superman and .. God..
ahem, so .. dreams. I don't usually recall my dreams. Most of the time they're stupid and dumb things I see before I sleep. The worst dream I had was of my mother, eathing crushed glass and when she spoke her mouth oozed of blood. I think I saw that in a movie or something and then saw it again in my sleep. But I forget them as soon as I wake up. Sometimes I don't want to wake up because this dream is juicy (erm, it usually sounds very real and includes gossip) and when I wake up I have to remind myself that THAT was a *dream* and the gossip did not occur.
*sighs*
Carlos Castaneda, you?
