Near Death Experiences

There was a very nice real life publication by a member in the Institute of Neotic sciences, [Yes , did read Dan Brown's - the last symbol] , and it seems like spirits and memories could actually be interlinked.

There is an experience that I thought I'd share . I was after the burial of my mentor and college Vice Principal that I had begun to feel the presence of forces Newton might have argued to have caused the apple to drop. [instead of the 9G ].

I did have a NDE and it was fairly pleasant... some so distant but yet as close as my breath... the only thing that really does pull you back is a reality that in this world, there might still be something/someone worth living for. And its that "little voice" as its claimed by laymen, that actually talks you out of the ordeal. In the end, we come to believe in the case of a NDE, it IS entirely the individual's choice of where his intentions want him to go. No one dies till they really want to.

Was I alive today?

Every day we get up - go to work, get back, eat -sh$% and sleep...

We do this as a survival procedure, so that end of the month we have something in our pockets to further live our life on a rosy cushy side...

But I think a day is really lived ...where u feel alive is when u have lived it for someone else, there is nothing comparable to the essence of peaces encapsulating your soul after the deed is done...and to top it off with a cherry, that person never finds out it was you....oh i felt alive :)

Team Work Letter - Support Manager

Dear All,

I am sure all of you are working very hard and putting your best efforts in any task that you are doing. But kindly keep in mind that along with the individual effort the team effort adds a lot more value to our work and make us more efficient. I am sorry to say that even though each one of you knows what is required to be done and are doing well, but the overall picture is something like the above!! The end result is of no value as you can see above.

If you ask the above individuals each one will defend his position and will blame the other. If you punish any one he will be offended since he has done his best and worked hard and does not understand why he should be punished. What’s lacking is clearly a team effort. So please keep this foremost in your mind and see how to work as a Team. How to convey the message and how to get the best out of the other members of the team is equally important along with the individual effort. In fact you will realize that by using each others efforts you are able to complete things more efficiently and are ready for better challenges.

So what are the basic rules of Team work?

1. Respect the other person at all times- Every person is equal in importance despite his role and we need to respect the individual at all time. There is no one big or small in a team, all are equal. The value of the team is the collection of the individuals and not their status or positions.

2. Share your knowledge with others- By the way have you noticed this simple fact of life that knowledge is the only thing which grows while sharing (unlike money!!).

3. Brainstorm with others on any issues- Please do not feel small if you have to ask someone. There is no individual in this world who knows everything and we are all imperfect and it is a fact of life. So the only way we can perfect our efforts is by working together.

4. Coordinate your tasks with others- Without coordination you will end up like the above picture!!

And finally remember every one is equal in a team. The roles are defined and you should be able to communicate within a team without any hierarchies. Please do not waste time in going through hierarchies in getting things done as it will cause only delays. Hierarchies are there for escalations but hamper the work of a Team.

And if there are escalations then it means the team is not functioning and the reason is within you. So make efforts to find these faults and remove them since you are the best to find them as the faults are within you. If you expect an outsider to find these faults then it again shows that you are still not functioning as a Team. If you are following the 4 guidelines mentioned above you will be able to find these faults and clear them.

Any suggestions or comments on the above are welcome, please send them to me directly to avoid unnecessary emails cc’d to everyone. I will compile the criticisms and valued suggestions if any and send them to all.

Expectations:

It is true that whenever two good people argue over principles and directions, they are both right. But the problem is that once a direction is set, there are quite a few foreign elements that pop up and erode the expected target.

Self Faults:

Another point of not finding fault within ourselves means we are incompetent does not hold true in my perspective as humans by default are not physiologically ardent on spending time searching for faults within themselves, they require progressive criticism to reevaluate and realigning to the best possible angle from a third person who is very much experienced in that particular area [this would be our manager in this case] so the stagnant status of a fellow employee will persist over time if not corrected. E.g. we always need a person behind us to fix a photograph on a wall correctly, no matter how many times we have done it correctly.

Function:

For this particular person to “function” as a team, it will depend only on what is his capability was when he was assigned a particular role in the team. This assignment would be done on the experience of the manager. The ability evaluation x task assigned should be judged from the beginning of assigning resources so that this does not drag the team down in the end. Everyone has different levels of growth, some fast and some slow. Its still a very open and debatable topic. After a job is assigned, his inability to function should only be taken if he fallen below the level of what he was before assigning. Not on him not growing to an estimate of finding faults in himself. Weakness would be a better word here.

Respect:

Should be in all aspects: Including emails, SMS & calls etc.

UFV [ unidentified flying voices ]




This was supposed to be a really lethargic day since I had finally managed to close all my tech support calls [without informing the management that I did of course, fearing more load].

But there was someone with an I.Q of a squirrel that turned the norms of social behavior in a twist of a click!

Mustafa and I are happily viewing and appreciating certain barbaric art work on the internet by his office [pretending to be working hard at the same time] when we hear a mysteriously crystal clear moan go up “lalalalalalala! mhhh” [i.e. "no no no" in arabic ]

Mustafa , who was previously sitting like a sandbag went wolverine for a second ! Then he goes, “oh that was some nut case’s ring tone.”, “Hmmmm ok” I wondered since it was that loud I must have been just imagining things in office. We continued browsing and were only recovering from the UFV’s effects when it went off again!, but this time for a longer time my friends, yes, long enough for a 4th grader to know this was no ring tone baby! [Muhahaha] - Pin drop silence- exchange of bewildered looks - hussle bussle of papers again after 20 seconds- office back to life again.

Much to the system analysts embarrassment [yes Nemer was red and so was Abbas] this sure was a porn clip gone outta control hehehe.

We managed to gag ourselves with our hands and tumble out of the office in time to burst out laughing.

All in all was an eventful morning

Tip of the day: Make sure your Headphone stay put into your system if you are watching Porn on maximum volume in office.

We In Dreams

I do believe that they usually do depict things currently going on in our lives. When we see the future; it is of the fact that it’s the blessing of a pure entity passing by throwing us a hint.

But on a more normal / scientific fact of it, we are only electro-chemically generating this complete world in our head! The interesting thing is that we infuse the general laws of the world into that very creation. So there is heat, cold, pain, sorrow, fear, gravity, wind…its spectacularly real!

I use to have a dream when I was 13 years old. It was of me standing at the cliff of a mountain and looking down at a misty abyss beneath me. The cliff always uses to give way and I use to fall into the void and wake up sweating. This went on for a few months, till I decided to take control of it. This was my one of the “factors” that was controlling my dream, and in this case, was the fear of height.

So what did I do? I started climbing heights and hanging around [yes I do make a good primate]. The next time I had that dream, the cliff did give way again!, but this time I was not falling like a rock, I was gliding into a green – cartoon-like- forest heaven- I was in control.

So I concluded that my dream was just an aspect in the real world controlling my dream, I fixed that and my intelligence overpowered the dream itself.

At 25, I enjoy my dreams because now I am in complete control of them. Something like the Matrix, if you have seen it, will be easier to visualize. I can do anything in it, fly, ride, change the very structure of things with my mind [because I am fully aware that this is a dream and these are all my creations].

Sometimes when I get something like nightmares, I become aware in between that it’s a dream and take control of it.

Half our lives are spent sleeping, then why not be a Super hero there if we can’t have superpowers here? Hehe [ indication to fellow blogger “Vivacious”’s last post “if you could be a super hero”

But mind you, even in dreams , you need a heart of a lion.

Love....

The most important ingredient of any blog, person, place, epic..life.

But what is love understood as?

Love is a platonic thing in an instance yet a sizzle on the extra hot fries when the lights go off...

Things ppl do in love [silly as hell]:

  • have loved the thing the person hates the most, cuz in it u remember them.... like rain ;p
  • have walked up right in between her working hours loaded with 2 KG of roses and dumped it on her table [im gonna do that soon enuff ;p]
  • gotten busted left my assignements to be at her place so that she get her hair done right
  • placed her over everything you have every planned your life for
  • Doesnt matter if the other does not have space, its you who needs the space made
  • Tried making friends with all her friends
  • Tried getting to know her dad [ guys this can get painful -please avoid]
  • Understand-question-questions-more questions......
  • Walked into that Ugly old lady secretary i despise the most and she feelin u did it on purpose [eww]
  • Nothing gets 'em down, probably walk around smilin with an arrow jus shot his back
  • Sleepless nights- yes, we all know them
  • Trance states - oh jus looking at her when shes finally in front of you ....when u had wanted to tell her a ton of things.
  • Sitting in the car thinking -"why did i do that!!"
  • sms.....lot n lots of em...
  • finding satisfaction in their fav food [obviously hogging it urself] ;p
  • Tracking them without being labled a "stalker"
  • Saying "i love her/him" a million times followed by "i hate her/him"
  • Logic loses its case . [every single day]

i could go on.....but then it will be difficult for the attention span that i can capture from u guys lol

Types of love:

Selfless-Practo Love
The one that makes you loose everything that is practically important to you in the thoughts of a person who lives in a very very pratical world of her/his own.

MaBaby Love
The one in which you care and love the person as if she were some one you'd jus get satisfaction caring about [no returns] . And keep it that way///unlesss....she goes into duo-turbo love

Duo-turbo Love
Much like Intels Duo processor technology, this kinda love moves in the fast lane but following all the rules and caring cuz its an evolution from the MaBaby Love ;p

Bitaboom Love
This is a initial implusive sparky kaboom kinda love, happnes on first sight, mostly on no basis at all, might be lust, spiritual, or they jus sweep u off ur feet in some way or the other.
Its a troublesome kind till the waves settle down a bit and both of em can actually get time to know each other.

Inflations

With all our economy and taxes [except q8] being drained on superb projects like 'food for oil', 'destroy and mad cows making love to birds with flu, things are getting expensive by the second.

A few nights back:

I am standing at the counter of a really snazzy fast food joint and I ordering some fries, [cuz the pocket are light - end of the month], and having 5 bucks left , im pretty okay with jus fries for the day. He puts his head into the counter and comes up with a price tag ”oh that’s only 2 KD sir”, im like what the…. Okay…im hungry, no arguments, I’ll take it.

Puts does some ting-ting and says that will be 25 KD with taxes and inflation etc etc…[me jaw dropping and watching], then I go…
”ermmm…how much for the ketchup?”,

he says “that’s 2 KD inclusive all”

me “ I’ll take it ” [cursing under my breath with a twisted smile]

n then I woke up!! :)
